Paul Edwards - guitar

Paul Edwards has had a lifelong interest in guitar playing. He has been teaching in schools and colleges in Cambridge and Bishops Stortford since 1987.
A successful songwriter previously signed to Elton John's Rocket Records, Paul had a top ten hit in the French Charts with the song 'Reduced to Tears'.
He has played guitar in a number of bands, both original material and covers.
Originally a rock guitarist, he went on to study classical guitar to expand his technique and deepen his understanding of music.
Paul has worked with young people in a number of settings, teaching songwriting and art, youth-work and at a young persons counselling centre.
His teaching style is to encourage self-motivation and a broad appreciation of musical genres.
He is a keen artist and currently exhibits in a number of galleries. His work is very much influenced by his appreciation of music.
Ben Evans - guitar

Ben has been a working electric guitarist for the last twenty years. He has worked with such luminaries as Cliff Richard, Robert Palmer, Warner Brothers (m.d. for video release). He recorded and produced for Nervous Records in a band called The Pharaohs and toured Europe with them. Over this period he has also taught in schools for Essex and Hertfordshire Music Services, as well as organising and leading ‘Rock School’ at the Square in Harlow for Essex Youth Services.
Ian Kelleher MA MMUS LGSM LGSM(TD) PGCE - Guitar

Ian started playing guitar with Melvyn Willin. After a degree at Oxford Polytechnic (as was) he completed the prestigious Advanced Solo Studies Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with assistance of a scholarship from the Cripplegate Foundation. A keen student of performance and music education, Ian then gained a MA in Performance Studies at The City University and trained as a secondary school music teacher at The Institute of Education gaining a distinction in his PGCE. More recently he gained a MMUS in Ethnomusicology (with distinction) from Goldsmiths College.

Ian teaches many pupils in the Bishop`s Stortford and Chelmsford area. He enjoys travelling and over the last few years he and his guitar have been to Cuba, Brazil, Peru and Argentina. Ian loves performing both as soloist and in ensemble and is always on the look out for gigs!

Mike Jordan - guitar

Mike has been playing and teaching guitar professionally since leaving college in 1977. He has a wealth of experience as both a guitar tutor and player, having toured extensively either in his own right or appearing with international rock, pop or cabaret stars such as Tina Turner, Sir Elton John, Sir Bob Geldoff, Thin Lizzy, Robert Palmer, Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix band,) international soul superstar Alexander Oniel, 60s legend Gene Pitney, the Carpenters band and Bernard Manning(!) to name but a diverse few. He has also performed in the ‘West End Showstoppers’ revue.

Mike is a graduate of the London College Of Music and the Registry Of Guitar Tutors. He is renowned for his expert knowledge, successful, friendly, informative and highly individual teaching techniques and has taught countless numbers of students from young beginners through serious hobbyists and he regularly coaches top professional players.
Specialising in electric guitar but teaching all styles, Mike teaches at all levels from complete beginners to degree standard and beyond. Mike is also the founder and director of
Rockademy Ltd, a specialist touring Rock school, appearing at schools, colleges and festivals nationwide, sourcing and training the stars of tomorrow.
